Time for Another Video Review

1. The four videos I choose to watch was (1) The drawings of Michelangelo because he was one of the most famous painter and sculptor who brought realism in his art works to the Renaissance Period. The next video was (2) Leonardo Di Vinci: The Mind of the Renaissance because he was not only the greatest artist of all time, but introduced new techniques of art into the Renaissance. Third video is El Greco: Rediscovering a Master because he brought style and technique to his artwork during the Spanish Renaissance. The last video I choose was The Power of Art: Caravaggio because his portraits of human seem to show so much emotion in the paintings of the characters.

2. The key concept in "The drawings of Michelangelo" were the anatomy which is the structure of the body which Michelangelo focused on during sculpturing. In "Leonardo Di Vinci: The Mind of the Renaissance" a key concept is
aeronautics and anatomist. In "El Greco: Rediscovering a Master", the key concept is primitivism, a form of western art. Lastly, in The Power of Art: Caravaggio, the key concept was realism.

3. How the films relate to the textbook readings is that they both show examples of art pieces of these artist. Although both to talk about the artist individually, the video gets more in depth about the life and work of Di Vinci and Michelangelo.

4. I thought the films were very interesting in explaining the work of these great artists who contributed to the Renaissance period and brought realism in their works. They ad depth to the reading by providing visual to the learning material.
